MY OCEAN

I visit my ocean
and a calm serenity befalls me
my worries cease to exist
time escapes

There is no yesterday
no tomorrow
only now, this moment
to cherish & treasure

I breathe in deeply
and cleanse my soul
my troubles swirling away
with the songs of the surf & seagulls

The currents and tides and moods
of the deep blue waters
become mirrored in my eyes
as I sit mesmerized

And slowly watch the sun
sizzle into its depths
bathing me
in a warm glow

And I wait patiently
and silently
for the irridescent moonlight
to awaken my dreams

So they can dance
on the silvery surface
of my ocean
my deep big blue Pacific Ocean
